Get ready for the SECOND POLISH VILLAGE GARAGE SALE on June 18-20 from 9 AM to 4 PM! This is an ongoing annual event that was very successful last year! We are again planning to have maps of sale locations, visible street markings for participants, newspaper ads, email blasts, and more in order to direct buyers to your garage sale!! The garage sale permit will be mailed to your home. Cut out the bottom portion of this flyer and send it with a check payable to Polish Village for $8 which covers the cost of the garage sale permit ($5) and advertising ($3). PAC Ohio Division Carries on a 67-year Tradition Since its founding in 1948, the Ohio Division of the Polish American Congress (PAC) has annually sponsored Ohio’s ­official celebration of the signing of Poland’s Constitution of May 3, 1791. This year is no different. The PAC — sponsored celebration is not only a parade, but an entire weekend of events. This year, our celebration takes place May 2-3, 2015. By Kathryn Mabin After a long hard winter, like we’ve had, with mounds of snow, brutal cold, and slippery walks and driveways, as mailboxes begin to fill with those colorful garden catalogs, we long for the warmth of the sun, the chirping of the birds, the lush green of the grass, and the multicolors of a floral garden. When that happens I also think of lawn ornaments, gnomes, gazing balls, ducks and geese, but most of all I think about pink plastic flamingos. This article is the second in a series which will showcase a Parma area artist and introduce you to many of your talented neighbors. Jill Golias Jill Golias and her husband Brian live in the Polish Village area of Parma and have lived in Parma most of their lives. They are both proud graduates of Parma High School. Jill is an amateur photographer. Her love of photography started when dad, Gary Soukup, bought her a camera at age 11.
